Quality and robust education is a cornerstone of community and a major factor that attracts families to our area. Our community is supported by three of the District's best rated schools: Ben Murch Elementary, Alice Deal Middle School, and Jackson-Reed High School. Importantly, we also are nearby two major universities who offer on-going adult education services at American University and UDC.
As an ANC member, I will work with the ANC and the Home & School Association at Murch, the Alice Deal Community Organization, and the Parent Teacher Student Organization at Jackson-Reed to ensure that these critical organizations' voices are heard.

All three supporting organizations help provide hundreds of thousands of dollars of supplemental resources to our schools through a variety of community activities and volunteerism. As an ANC member, I will work to raise awareness of these opportunities in the community.
As a leader within GWU and previously an instructor for adult education programs in my hometown, I understand that education doesn't end with high school or college in our modern economy. As individuals progress through their careers, they may want to explore new opportunities or industries. It is important to our community to know that these adult education opportunities exist and are accessible to residents whether remote/online or local to our neighborhood and city.
